Rudolf Wolkan

Rudolf Wolkan (born July 21, 1860 in Prelautsch , Bohemia , † May 16, 1927 in Vienna ) was an Austrian literary historian and university professor .

Life

Wolkan dealt in his life with the history of literature in Bohemia, the Hutterites , the Bohemian Brethren , as well as the religious movement of the Anabaptists during the Reformation . He worked on the Allgemeine Deutsche Biographie , published by Duncker & Humblot in Leipzig, on which he wrote a number of biographical articles. He was also director of the University Library of the University of Vienna .
