Franz Heider

Franz-Josef Heider (born October 7, 1897 in Bergisch Gladbach ; † July 31, 1977 there ) was a German entrepreneur , politician and member of the state parliament ( ZENTRUM , CDU ).

Life

After attending elementary school and high school , he completed a traineeship in a publishing house . In 1923, Heider took over the company Joh. Heider Verlag GmbH , printing and publishing company in Bergisch Gladbach, as the third son of the company's founder, Johann Heider . Until 1945 he was also the publisher of the Rheinisch-Bergische Zeitung . The Franz-Heider-road in Bergisch Gladbach was named after him.

The politician

Heider was a member of the Center Party until 1933. In 1945 he was one of the founders of the CDU in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district and was the first district chairman. He was active in numerous other party bodies.

From April 20, 1947 to June 17, 1950, Heider was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was in constituency 027 Rhein.Berg. Kreis-Nord was chosen directly.

He was a representative in the city ​​council of Bergisch Gladbach and from September 1946 to November 1950 mayor . In addition, he was part of the district council of the Rheinisch-Bergisch district .
