Franz Adamowitsch Klinzewitsch ( Russian Франц Адамович Клинцевич ; born June 15, 1957 in Ashyany , Belarusian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian politician.

Klinzewitsch is a member of the party , United Russia , Duma deputy and was until February 2018 the first deputy chairman of the Defense Committee of the Federation Council . He is the bearer of the Alexander Nevsky Order .

His positions have been mentioned several times in Western European media. In 2012 , for example, he wanted to collect around two million euros in order to buy the house where Adolf Hitler was born and then tear it down. In 2016 he said Russia should boycott the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 because Ukraine "only won the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 for political reasons and Russia stole the victory".
