Franz Anton Douqué

Franz Anton Douqué (born September 26, 1768 in Niederlahnstein ; † January 5, 1851 ibid) was a German boatman and politician .

Douqué was the son of the innkeeper "Zum Schwanen" in Niederlahnstein and magistrate Anton Jacob Douqué (born November 7, 1731 in Niederlahnstein; † November 29, 1790 ibid), the son of Anton Ludwig Douqué and Anna Maria Dasquin. The mother was Anna Elisabeth Pfeiffer (* approx. 1743/1744; † March 28, 1808 in Niederlahnstein).

Douqué, who was a Catholic denomination, married Agnes Brauer (born November 2, 1777 in Oberlahnstein) on September 30, 1800 in Oberlahnstein, the daughter of the innkeeper Johannes Thomas Brauer and Agnes Grell. His nephew Daniel Douqué (1806-1891) was a Lahnschiffer and also a member of parliament.

Douqué was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Nassau Landtag from 1825 to 1832 , elected from the group of landowners in the Wiesbaden constituency. In 1827 he was not present at the session of the state parliament.
