Franz Anton Thüsing

Franz Anton Thüsing (born April 23, 1782 on Gut Brenschede (near Sundern ); † May 18, 1832 ibid) was a landowner, civil servant and first district administrator in the Arnsberg district .

Live and act

Thüsing came from a family of landowners. The father, also named Franz Anton, was also a lawyer and private scholar. His son studied law in Würzburg and Göttingen in 1802/03 . After completing his studies, he became court judge advocate in Arnsberg in 1805 , later legal advisor in Meschede and patrimonial judge in Lenhausen. In 1814 Thüsing became the Grand Duke of Hesse Mountain judges and Mining Office Director in Duchy of Westphalia appointed. After the duchy passed to Prussia , Thüsing was appointed the first district administrator of the new Arnsberg district on May 8, 1817. Thüsing is among other things to thank for the rescue of the Hirschberger Tor . From 1826 to 1833 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia .

Thüsing was married to Maria Helene Ernestina Lintener from Arnsberg. The marriage had at least two children. Thüsing died on his estate in 1832 after falling from his horse.
