Franz Böhner

Franz Böhner (born August 16, 1889 in Lichtenau ; † January 8, 1954 there ) was a German politician of the Center Party .

Life

After his school days, Böhner took over his father's farm in Lichtenau. He was local chairman of the German peasantry and deputy chairman of the Westphalian farmers' association. After the Second World War he took over the office of district farmer in the Büren district .

politics

Böhner was already a member of the center during the German Empire , for which he was also involved in the Weimar Republic . In 1945 he participated in the re-establishment of this party and was deputy district chairman in the Büren district .

From 1930 to 1933 Böhner ran for the Reichstag elections, but did not enter parliament. From 1946 until his death he was a member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected to the German Bundestag in 1953 , but died a few months later. Josef Rösing took over for him .

Public offices

From 1917 to 1933 Boehner was bailiff of the Office Lichtenau . From 1946 until his death he held the office of district administrator in the Büren district .
