Franz Böröczky

Franz Böröczky (born August 31, 1922 in Kittsee ; † April 23, 2002 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and from 1964 to 1969 a member of the Burgenland Landtag and from 1969 to 1974 a member of the Federal Council .

Life

After primary school in Kittsee, Böröczky attended secondary school in Zurndorf . He also took advanced training courses and served in the Wehrmacht from 1938 to 1945 . After the Second World War, Böröczky worked as a construction worker in Kittsee and from 1947 as a metal worker in Vienna. He also worked as a works council.

Böröczky was married.

politics

Within the party, Böröczky was active as a local party chairman of the SPÖ-Kittsee from 1952, he was also a district committee member from 1958 and SPÖ district chairman deputy from 1960. He was a member of the municipal council from 1954 to 1958 and held the office of mayor from 1958 to 1970 and 1977. He represented the SPÖ from April 17, 1964 to July 14, 1969 in the Burgenland State Parliament and was a member of the Federal Council from July 14, 1969 to December 1, 1974.
