Franz Baltzarek

Franz Baltzarek (born July 26, 1944 in Vienna ) is an Austrian economic historian.

Baltzarek completed his studies in history at the University of Vienna with a Dr. phil. and qualified as a professor in 1981. As an assistant professor (since 1988) and associate professor at what is now the Faculty of Economics at the University of Vienna , he focused on the areas of general and Austrian economic history, financial and urban history.
