Franz Beutl

Franz Beutl (born September 13, 1905 in Heiligenkreuz im Lafnitztal ; † December 10, 1971 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. From 1934 to 1938 he was a member of the state parliament and from 1952 to 1953 a member of the Burgenland state parliament .

Life

Beutl was born as the son of the housewife Theresia Beutl from Heiligenkreuz and first attended elementary school in Heiligenkreuz. He worked professionally as a farmer. Beutl was chairman of the agricultural warehouse cooperative Jennersdorf and active as a board member in the tobacco growers' association. After Beutl was briefly taken into political custody in 1938, he was drafted into the German Wehrmacht and had to do military service between 1939 and 1945. Most recently, Beutl was captured by the Soviets and remained in captivity until the end of the war.

He was married.

Beutl was mayor of Heiligenkreuz between 1945 and 1951 and councilor of the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture from 1946 to 1956 . In 1951 he took over the function of chairman of the newly founded warehouse cooperative in Jennersdorf. Beutl was a representative of the state of agriculture and forestry in the state parliament from November 11, 1934 to March 12, 1938 and was again a member of the Burgenland state parliament from April 3, 1952 to March 19, 1953.
