Franz Blauensteiner

Franz Blauensteiner (born September 29, 1896 in Vienna , † August 12, 1939 in Krems an der Donau ) was an Austrian painter .

Life

Blauensteiner studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and became a professor there. He painted expressionist pictures with scenes from the First World War . Several drawings and oil paintings critical of the war are now in the collections of the Vienna Army History Museum , such as B. the painting entitled Storming Schemen (oil on canvas, signed and dated 1932 in the Republic and Dictatorship room ).
