Franz Blochberger

Franz Blochberger (born October 16, 1942 in Krumbach ) is an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). Blochberger was a member of the Lower Austrian regional parliament and from 1981 to 2000 a regional councilor in the Lower Austrian regional government .

Blochberger completed the agricultural vocational school and technical college and completed his training as an agricultural master. In 1970 he took over the family business. Blochberger was awarded the professional title of Economics Council. Blochberger is married and has five sons.

Blochberger was elected district chairman of the Austrian Young Farmers' Union in 1963 and was regional chairman of the rural training center from 1967. From 1975 he was a local councilor in Krumbach and in 1980 took over the function of the executive council. From 1985 to 1990 Blochberger again held the role of a simple municipal council. Blochberger was chairman of the Lower Austrian Farmers' Union from 1989 to 2000 and was appointed honorary chairman after his chairmanship ended. Blochberger moved into the Lower Austrian state parliament on December 4, 1969 as the youngest member of the parliament and represented the ÖVP in the state parliament until January 29, 1981. Subsequently, from January 22, 1981 to June 29, 2000, he was regional councilor in the Lower Austrian provincial government, where he was responsible for agriculture and in some cases also for agriculture.
