Franz Dögl
Franz Dögl (born February 15, 1945 in Vienna , † November 13, 2004 in Italy ) was an Austrian cyclist and national champion in cycling .
Athletic career
Dögl won a total of three titles as Austrian national champion on the track . In 1977 he won the team pursuit and two-man team driving with his long-term partner Franz Buchelle . In 1978 he became champion in the 1000 meter time trial . He was also often at the start in standing races . In 1978 he set a world record with pacemaker Dieter Durst in the Ferry-Dusika-Hallenstadion with 74.540 km.
He died in an accident in Italy in 2004.
