Franz (comic artist)
Franz Drappier (born June 11, 1948 in Charleroi , † January 8, 2003 in Paris ) was a Belgian comic artist .
Life
After studying art at the Institut Saint-Luc in Mons , he came to Tintin magazine in 1967 , where he was able to publish his first work. From 1978 he took over the series Jugurtha from Hermann , in 1982 he started his self-written adventure series Lester Cockney . In 1982 the soldier comic Thomas Noland followed with the author Daniel Pecqueur. In 1987 the publication of his historical comic Poupée d´Ivoire began .
