Franz Greß
Franz Greß (* 1941 in Ulm ) is a German political scientist .
Greß studied political science, German literature and philosophy at the universities of Tübingen and Frankfurt am Main. In 1970 he started at the Philosophical Faculty of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main with a dissertation on German and Politics. Critical contributions to the history of a national science for Dr. phil. PhD.
In 1972 he became professor of political education in the Faculty of Social Sciences. In 1979 he was a founding member of the Center for North America Research (ZENAF), whose management he held several times. He was also visiting professor at the University of Southampton in Southampton (England) and at Trenton State College (1991/92) in Trenton, New Jersey (USA).
Several articles were published by him on behalf of the Hessian state parliament as Hessian writings on federalism and state parliamentarism . He was also co-editor of the series North American Studies in Campus Verlag .
