Franz Hančar
Franz Hančar (born February 8, 1893 in Vienna ; † July 10, 1968 there ) was an Austrian prehistorian .
Life
As a lieutenant in the reserve, Hančar learned Russian during World War I. After graduation in 1929 Dr. phil. At the University of Vienna he taught there as a professor for general prehistory and early history of man with a special focus on Eastern Europe.
