Franz Johann Wilhelm von Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck

Franz Johann Wilhelm von Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck (born November 28, 1714 , † August 17, 1775 at Schloss Dyck ) was the ruling Count of Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck.

His parents were Franz Ernst zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck (* June 7, 1659 - † July 16, 1727) and his wife Princess Anna Franziska von Thurn und Taxis (* February 25, 1683; † January 17, 1763).

He was the third son and should have a spiritual career. So he was first canon in Strasbourg and Cologne . But on August 6, 1767, his eldest brother August Eugen Bernhard (born October 10, 1706) died without an heir. The second brother Friedrich Ernst (* March 7, 1708; † February 1, 1775) - also canons in Strasbourg and Cologne - rejected the inheritance. So Franz succeeded him in the county and became the ruling count.

He married Countess Auguste von Waldburg zu Zeil und Wurzach on February 27, 1769 (* September 11, 1743, † January 6, 1776). The couple had the following children:
