Franz Josef Zlatnik (born November 20, 1871 in Vienna ; † March 8, 1933 there ) was an Austrian writer .

life and work

Franz Josef Zlatnik wrote poems , sketches and short stories . The themes of his often melancholy lyrics are nature, the fatherland and motherly love.

He worked for newspapers such as the Reichspost , the Austrian women's newspaper , but he also wrote for magazines such as Frauen-Werke (founded 1894), the contemporary poets' voices (founded 1897) as well as poetry and poets and artist books .
