Franz Köck (politician)

Franz Köck (born August 8, 1931 in Gottsdorf ; † July 12, 2015 in Aschach an der Donau ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and chairman of the central works council. Köck was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1973 to 1990 .

After compulsory school, Köck attended a technical college for electrical engineering and worked as an electrician from 1955. From 1962 he became involved as a member of the works council of Österreichische Donaukraftwerke AG , rose to the position of executive works council chairman in 1968 and in 1978 took over the function of the central works council as well as the deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Österreichische Donaukraftwerke AG. In addition, he attended the social academy from 1962 to 1963 and in 1978 became managing director of the social department of Österreichische Donaukraftwerke AG.

Furthermore, from 1967 Köck was local councilor in Aschach an der Donau and from 1982 district party chairman of the SPÖ Grieskirchen / Eferding . He was a member of the regional party executive of the SPÖ Upper Austria and represented the SPÖ from November 14, 1973 to November 4, 1990 in the Austrian National Council.
