Franz Karl of Gemmingen

Franz Karl von Gemmingen (born December 29, 1806 in Treschklingen ; † March 2, 1867 ) was a member of the Baden Estates Assembly and landlord in Rappenau .

Life

He was the eldest son of Sigmund von Gemmingen-Hornberg zu Treschklingen and Charlotte von Gemmingen-Hornberg (1785–1842), studied law in Heidelberg and Göttingen, and witnessed the revolution in Paris in 1830 and Ferdinand's coronation as King of Hungary in Pressburg . He then stayed in Italy and then joined the Baden civil service. He was a legal trainee at the Offenburg Office and the District Directorate in Mannheim, but then left the civil service. In 1834 he became a member of the First Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly . After the death of his father, he inherited his property in Rappenau.

family

His marriage to Franziska Ottilie von Ingelheim (1813–1889), which he entered into in 1835, had three daughters, so that after his death Franz Karl's property fell to his brother Gustav von Gemmingen (1813–1894).
