Karl Sigmund Raimund von Gemmingen

Karl Sigmund Raimund von Gemmingen (born May 21, 1838 in Bonfeld , † December 21, 1880 in Neubronn ) was a member of the I. Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly .

He was a son of Eduard Friedrich Ludwig von Gemmingen (1807–1846) and Luise von Gemmingen-Hornberg (1812–1849). After the early death of his parents, he and his brother Sigmund Gustav Adolf von Gemmingen came into the care of their uncle Franz Karl von Gemmingen- Hornberg (1806–1867). He attended high schools in Karlsruhe and Mannheim and in 1856 joined the Leibdragoner Regiment in Karlsruhe as a cadet. In 1857 he became a lieutenant. In 1866 he took part in the campaign against Prussia , but resigned from military service in 1867. As a member of the landlord's aristocracy, he was a member of the I. Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly . He and his wife were buried in the Baronenviertel of the Bonfeld cemetery .

family

In 1864 he married Helene von Gemmingen-Hornberg (1840–1905), a daughter of Franz Karl von Gemmingen , and probably had no descendants.
