Franz Knauschner
Franz Knauschner (born January 20, 1899 in Mětikalov (Meckl) , Bohemia; † March 9, 1968 ) was a German SPD politician .
education and profession
Franz Knauschner graduated from grammar school and obtained his Abitur. After attending the teacher training college, he became a teacher. After further training at the university, he was first a middle school teacher, then a middle school director and then a district school inspector or school councilor. Most recently he was head of a teacher training institute as a school councilor.
politics
Franz Knauschner was a member of the German Social Democratic Party in Czechoslovakia (DSAP) from 1922 to 1938 . From 1922 to 1930 he worked there as secretary in local associations. From 1930 to 1935 he was chairman of a local association and from 1930 to 1935 a member of the district committee. Member since 1923, from 1935 on he served on the board of the German Social Democratic Teachers' Association. In 1938 he was removed from service by the National Socialists and politically persecuted. After the Second World War he became a member of the SPD in 1946. Knauschner was a member of the board of the local association and the city association from 1950 and from 1962 he was a member of the board of the sub-district.
Franz Knauschner was a directly elected member of the 5th and 6th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 092 Recklinghausen-Land-Mitte and constituency 094 Recklinghausen-Land II from July 23, 1962 until his death on March 9, 1968 .
