The Hradiště military training area (Czech Vojenský Výcvikový Prostor Hradiště , also Vojenský újezd Hradiště ) is a special area in the Czech Republic that belongs directly to the state . The military training area is located in the Okres Karlovy Vary between Karlovy Vary and Bochov in the Duppau Mountains . With an area of ​​originally 331.61 km², it is the largest military training area in the Czech Republic. The seat of the Hradiště military training area is Karlovy Vary.

history

It was laid out for the Czechoslovak Army on the basis of Act No. 169 on Training Areas from 1949 . Its limits were determined by the resolution of the Krajský národní výbor (KNV, German District National Committee ) Karlovy Vary of August 27, 1953 on the basis of the government decree of ČSR 161-4-9 / 6 of August 20, 1950. Most of the area belonged to the Okres Kadaň at that time.

According to Act No. 222 on Ensuring Defense Readiness of 1999, its continued existence as part of the Czech state for armed forces training was established. Since the Czech Republic joined NATO , it has also been used for joint exercises by allied armies. After the riots at CzechTek 2005, the festival took place legally on July 27-30, 2006 on the grounds of the military training area.

On January 1, 2015, the Hradiště military training area was reduced in size. From the land registers Bražec u Doupova and Bražec u Těšetic the community was Bražec formed. From the Cadastral Doupovské Hradiště the community came Doupovské Hradiště . The following cadastral districts were also outsourced:

  • Albeřice u Hradiště to the municipality of Verušičky ,

The original plans provided for the formation of a commune Lučiny with the districts Dolní Lomnice, Svatobor and Činov . Bražec should become the district of Stružná and Bukovina to the district of Podbořanský Rohozec . Korunní Kyselka should be connected to Stráž nad Ohří .

The area of ​​the military training area is determined by the boundaries of the cadastral districts of Bražec u Hradiště , Doupov u Hradiště , Radošov u Hradiště , Tureč u Hradiště and Ždár u Hradiště .

No districts are designated for the Hradiště military training area. Basic settlement units are Dolní Lomnice, Doupov, Korunní, Radošov, Tureč and Žďár.
