Pšov (German Schaub ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers south of Žlutice and belongs to the Okres Karlovy Vary .

geography

Pšov is located in the Tepler highlands in the headwaters of the Hrádecký brook. To the north rises the Nevděk (630 m), in the northeast of the Vladař (693 m), southwest of the Zbraslavský vrch (674 m) and in the northwest of the Pohořelec (554 m). In the north is the pond Velký Travniční rybník, in the northwest of the Borecký rybník.

Neighboring towns are Kobylé in the north, Kolešov in the northeast, Močidlec in the east, Víska and Novosedly in the southeast, Domašín in the south, Zbraslav and Prohoř in the southwest, Borek in the west and Nový Dvůr and Semtěš in the northwest.

history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1513. According to ancient legends to Pšovo by members of the Slavic tribe of Pschowanen have been created. Pšov was part of the Rabenstein manor until 1584. Between 1584 and 1675 the village belonged to the Ratka rule. In 1640 Pšov was burned down by the Swedes. From 1675 until the abolition of patrimonial Schaub was subordinate to Luditz .

In 1850 the political community of Schaub was established in the Luditz district . In 1914 a small church was built on the village square. In 1930 the village had 339 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement , Schaub was added to the German Reich in 1938 and until 1945 the village belonged to the Luditz district . In 1939 Schaub had 316 inhabitants. After the end of the war, Pšov returned to Czechoslovakia and was classified in the Okres Toužim in 1949. Since 1961 Pšov belongs to the Okres Karlovy Vary. In 1961 Borek, Semtěš and Kobylé and Močidlec including Kolešov were incorporated. 1979 Novosedly were incorporated with Chlum and Víska.

Pšov is a purely agricultural village. The Novosedly Agricultural Cooperative is also located in the municipal office on the village square . Also on the village square is the Kulturhaus, which is known regionally for its discos.

Community structure

The municipality of Pšov consists of the districts Borek ( Worka ), Chlum ( Klum ), Kobylé ( Kobyla ), Kolešov ( Kolleschau ), Močidlec ( Modschiedl ), Novosedly ( Nebosedl ), Pšov ( Schaub ) and Semtěš ( Semtisch ), which at the same time Form cadastral districts. The settlement of Víska ( Fieska ) also belongs to Pšov .
