Víska (German Fieska ) is a settlement in the municipality of Pšov in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers north of Manětín and belongs to the Okres Karlovy Vary .

geography

Víska is located in the Tepler highlands in the valley of the Hrádecký brook. The Červený vrch (494 m) rises to the south.

Neighboring towns are Močidlec in the north, Stvolny and Rabštejn nad Střelou in the east, Kotaneč and Hrádek in the southeast, Chlum in the south, Novosedly in the west and Pšov , Kobylé and Kolešov in the northwest.

history

The village of Ostrov was founded in 1168. The parish village died out during the Hussite Wars . Only his church was preserved and the corridors were connected to the Nebosedl cadastre . The Fieska Meierhof was later built on the site of the deserted village.

From 1850 Fieska belonged to the political municipality Nebosedl in the Luditz district . After the Munich Agreement , Fieska was added to the German Reich in 1938 as a district of Nebosedl and until 1945 the village belonged to the Luditz district . After the end of the war, Víska returned to Czechoslovakia and was classified in the Okres Toužim in 1949. Since January 1st 1961 the place belongs to the Okres Karlovy Vary. In 1973 the church burned down. 1979 Víska was incorporated into Pšov together with Novosedly .

Attractions

  • Ruins of the cemetery church of St. Peter and Paul in Víska, the church built in the first half of the 14th century burned down in 1973. It is a national cultural monument .
