Franz Lehner (business IT specialist)

Franz Lehner (born September 14, 1958 in Linz ) is an Austrian business IT specialist . Since 2004 he has held a chair for business informatics at the University of Passau .

Franz Lehner studied computer science in Vienna and Linz and completed his habilitation in business informatics at the University of Linz in 1992 . In 1992 Lehner took over the chair for information management at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar . In 1995 he was the founding president of Danube University Krems . From 1995 to 2003 he held a chair for business informatics at the University of Regensburg . In 2004 he accepted the offer at the University of Passau. Lehner's research and work focuses mainly on knowledge management , mobile applications and e-learning.

Lehner has been a member of the European Academy for Science since 2001.
