Franz List (politician)

Franz List (born March 30, 1856 in Baumgarten ; † August 2, 1920 ) was an Austrian politician (German Association) and farmer. From 1919 to 1920 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria .

After primary school, Franz List attended the lower secondary school in Krems an der Donau and the viticulture school in Klosterneuburg . He then worked as a farmer in Baumgarten. From 1882 he was active in the community council of Baumgarten, he was also mayor of the community for 13 years. He was also involved in the district road committee and the state culture council. In 1896 and 1902 he ran unsuccessfully for the Lower Austrian state parliament, his candidacy in the 1901 Reichsrat elections also did not lead to a mandate gain. On March 18, 1919, he took part in the founding meeting of the "German Farmers' Union for Lower Austria" in Sigmundsherberg and represented the "German Association" in the Lower Austrian state parliament from May 20, 1919 until his death.
