Life
Franz Ludolph von Hörde zu Eringerfeld came from the Westphalian noble family von Hörde . He was the son of Franz Christoph von Hörde and his wife Franziska Odilia Theodora von Galen zu Dincklage, daughter of Wilhelm Ferdinand von Galen zu Assen and completed a biennium in Paris. This study was a prerequisite for a spiritual profession. In 1736 he received a cathedral priest in Osnabrück from his uncle Friedrich Christian von Galen zu Assen . Here he was sworn up on August 6, 1736 . In Münster he was granted a cathedral canonical in 1742 through the resignation of canon Johann Friedrich von Hörde zu Schönholthausen . Just four years later he renounced his prebends in Münster in favor of Clemens August Droste zu Vischering . Franz Ludolph was married to Odilia Charlotte Franzeline Josephine von Meschede zu Alme for the first time, and to Maria Antonette von Schade zu Antfeld for the second time.
