Franz Ludwig Ignatz of Bibra

Franz Ludwig Ernst Josef Ignatz von Bibra (* 1735 ; † October 7, 1790 ) was a civil servant in the ore monastery of Mainz and the bishopric of Bamberg from the noble family Bibra .

Life

Von Bibra was the eldest son of Bamberg's Obermarschall Johann Philipp Karl Josef von Bibra (1706–1758) and his wife Johanna Charlotte Schutzbar called Milchling (* 1714). In 1759 he was given the position of canon both in Bamberg and in Mainz. In 1756 he became court counselor and treasurer in the bishopric of Bamberg. On March 7, 1753, he became senior officer in the Teuschnitz office and on October 11, 1760, he moved to the Waischenfeld office in the same function . In 1770 he left there and entered Kurmainzer services. In Kurmainz he became a privy councilor and president of the appeal court. From 1790 until his death he was governor of the Eichsfeld State Electorate of Mainz .
