Waischenfeld office
The Waischenfeld office was an administrative area of the Bamberg bishopric , a direct imperial territory in the Holy Roman Empire . The Bamberg Monastery, which was assigned to the Franconian Empire , was a clerical principality that existed until the beginning of the 19th century.
geography
The office located in the southeast of the Bamberg dominion was one of the medium-sized high estates offices. It was largely surrounded by other Bamberg offices. These were the offices of Gößweinstein , Hollfeld , Leienfelsfels , Pottenstein and Weismain or parts of them ( exclaves ). In the north-west of the administrative area was the Amt Streitberg , which was an exclave of the Principality of Bayreuth . Other imperial territories were some imperial manors , which were located in the southeast.
history
Waischenfeld castle and office came into the possession of the Bamberg monastery in 1348.
structure
The administration of the Waischenfeld office consisted of an Oberamt , a Vogteiamt , a tax office , a caste office and a Centamt .
Official seat
Waischenfeld's administrative offices were based in Waischenfeld Castle, which was first mentioned in 1122 .
Official staff
The office management was formed by a bailiff , who also acted as a box office , tax and transfer collector .
Oberamt
The Waischenfeld Oberamt was an intermediate authority that - as is customary in the Bamberg Monastery - performed exclusively representative activities and exercised neither jurisdiction nor administrative tasks.

The Waischenfeld Vogteiamt was one of the 54 Vogteiamts of the Bamberg Monastery . Its bailiwick district comprised the following village markings and localities:

The Waischenfeld tax office was one of the 46 tax offices of the Bamberg monastery. The spatial scope of the tax office was congruent with that of the Waischenfeld bailiwick office.
The economic importance of the office for the bishopric of Bamberg was below average, so it was listed as Amt I class (out of 5). The tax revenue of the tax office averaged in the tenure of Peter Philipp von Dernbach (1672-1683) 1565 and in the tenure of Marquard Sebastian Schenk von Stauffenberg (1683-1693) 1563 Franconian guilders per year.
Caste office
The Waischenfeld caste office was one of the 24 caste offices of the Bamberg monastery.
