Franz Luerßen

Franz Luerßen (born October 29, 1882 in Wetzlar , † December 8, 1954 in Kassel ) was a German medical officer , most recently a general staff doctor in World War II .

Franz Luerßen started his career as a medical officer with a doctorate in medicine. Since January 1, 1936, he held the rank of general physician in the German armed forces . 1 November 1938 he was given the character of a general staff physician, this rank, he was awarded on May 1, 1941 he wore as surgeon general zV until the war ended.

Since 1911 Franz Luerßen was married to Marie Elisabeth von Tiedemann, who was three years his senior.
