Franz Meindel
Franz Meindel (born September 11, 1902 in Bamberg ; † December 4, 1983 there ) was a German road builder.
Meindel attended elementary and vocational school, did an apprenticeship with a master's degree in road construction and from 1927 worked as an independent building contractor for road construction and civil engineering. From 1945 to 1965 he was head master of the building trade and district master craftsman. After he was first elected Vice President in 1965, he held the office of President of the Chamber of Crafts for Upper Franconia from 1966 to 1979 and was then its Honorary President. He was also a founding member and chairman of the supervisory board of Volksbank Bamberg and from 1972 to 1975 a member of the Bavarian Senate .
