Jacob Trum

Jakob Trum (born October 20, 1904 in Koblenz , † September 18, 1987 ) was a German beer brewer.

Life

Trum left the Kaiserin-Augusta-Gymnasium in Koblenz with the secondary school leaving certificate, then attended a higher commercial school and did an apprenticeship as a businessman, which he successfully completed in an industrial company in Koblenz. In 1924 he started there as an accountant and sales representative, in 1927 he became the company's representative in Bamberg . There he later did an apprenticeship as a brewer and maltster in the Heller- Schlenkerla brewery , attended the brewery school in Doemens and passed the master craftsman's examination. In 1931 he married the daughter of the brewery house, five years later he became a co-owner, and later he took over the brewery completely. In 1936 he was appointed head master of the brewers' and malting guilds in Bamberg and the surrounding area. After he was a member of the board from 1948, he was Vice President of the Chamber of Crafts for Upper Franconia from 1956 until his resignation in 1964 and, at the same time, Vice President of the State Association of Bavarian Medium and Small Breweries . From 1958 to 1964 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate .
