Franz Philipp von Kübel
Franz Philipp Friedrich von Kübel (born August 19, 1819 in Tübingen ; † January 4, 1884 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer and played a key role in the creation of the German Civil Code (BGB) . From 1848 Kübel was a judge at the Stuttgart Upper Tribunal ; 1863–1866 member of the Dresden commission for the drafting of a law of obligations ; 1874 member of the preliminary commission for the creation of the BGB; 1874 member of the First Commission. Kübel was there (sole) editor for the entire law of obligations.
