Franz Ratzenberger

Franz Ratzenberger (born March 30, 1965 in Grieskirchen ) is a former Austrian athlete.

From 1987 to 1992 he was Austrian national champion with the 4 × 100 relay from Vöcklabruck . He won the individual title over 100 m in 1990. In the hall he was national champion over 200 m in 1989, 1990 and 1991 and in 1992 over 60 m. In 1992 he took part in the Olympic Games . With Christoph Pöstinger , Thomas Renner and Andreas Berger he reached seventh place with the 4 × 100 relay. In 1993 Ratzenberger was banned for two years for doping with Metandienone and he ended his career.
