Franz Resch (politician)

Franz Resch (born July 1, 1931 in Neutal ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and state road master. Resch was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from 1968 to 1990 . He was married.

education and profession

Resch was born as the son of the stove maker Franz Resch from Neutal. He attended elementary school in Neutal and was then two classes at a Viennese grammar school and two classes at the Mattersburg grammar school . He also learned the mason trade and completed his apprenticeship in 1951. From 1956 he was employed as a worker or contract employee in the middle technical service at the Eisenstadt district building authority. In 1964 he was appointed civil servant, from January 1, 1967, he was state road master and from 1980 state chief inspector.

politics

Resch was mayor of his home town Neutal between 1958 and 1984. As founding chairman and president, he was responsible for the management of the Central Burgenland Water Association (1964 to 1980), the Wastewater Association (1969 to 1980) and the Central Burgenland Garbage Association (1969 to 1980). He was also President of the Social Democratic Association of Community Representatives until 1993.

Resch entered the Burgenland Landtag on May 14, 1968 and was a member of it for five legislative periods until his resignation on July 12, 1990.
