Protestant churches
- St. Martin is the largest church and at the same time the main church of the Evangelical Lutheran Dean's Office in Memmingen . It is one of the oldest churches in Upper Swabia. The basilica, financed by the citizens, was the largest Gothic town church between Lake Constance and Lech and the second largest brick basilica in Swabia after St. Ulrich and Afra in Augsburg.
- The children's teaching church is the former monastery church of the Antoniterkloster . Today it is used by the parish of St. Martin.
- Our women is the second largest Protestant church in the Memmingen city area. She is best known for her late Gothic paintings.

- St. Josef is the largest church and main church of the Roman Catholic deanery in Memmingen. It is a modern building made of concrete and brick and is the largest church building between the First and Second World Wars in Germany.
- St. Johann Baptist used to be the monastery church of the Augustinian monastery . It was modernized in the 1970s after massive damage from the city stream flowing under it.
- The Assumption of Mary with its high tower is a landmark in the east of the city. It is a modern concrete church with Gothic elements.
- Christ's resurrection stands in the west of the city and is a modern church building.
- Ortisei is the landmark of the Amendingen district. The baroque church building belongs to the Swabian Barockstrasse and was the prestige building of the Buxheim monastery .
- St. Stephan is in the Volkratshofen district and is a simultaneous church .
- The St. Antonius Church , built in the 19th century, is also located in Ferthofen .
Other Christian churches
- The Friedenskirche Memmingen is located on the Hühnerberg. The building was erected by the then Apostolic Church - Early Christian Congregation and consecrated in 1990. In 1997 this congregation was merged with the local Baptist congregation. The Friedenskirche Babenhausen emerged from the community and is still a sister community of the Friedenskirche Memmingen. The community does not belong to a regional association.
- The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses is located in the east of Memming near the forest cemetery.
- The Society of St. Pius X has its church St. Joseph in the industrial area north on Amendinger Flur. Its interior is designed in the baroque style.
- The church of the Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church , the Matthäuskirche , is located on the edge of the southern old town opposite the police.
- The New Apostolic Church has its church building in Zeppelinstrasse on the edge of the northern old town.

The Memmingen synagogue was destroyed during the November pogroms in 1938 and not rebuilt. A LEW administration building stood there for a long time .

The Fatih Mosque of the Turkish-Islamic Union Memmingen e. V. is located in a former telecommunications building on Schlachthofstrasse.
Former church building
The monastery church of St. Peter and Paul of the Kreuzherrenkloster is used today for cultural events and is one of the highlights of the Upper Swabian Baroque Route due to its baroque furnishings .
Destroyed church buildings
The former monastery churches of the Schottenkloster and the Elsbethenkloster were destroyed or demolished.
