Franz Schuch the Younger (* 1741 ; † 1771 in Königsberg , Prussia ) was a German actor and theater director . With his wife Caroline Schuch he made Königsberg i. Pr. To an important theater city.

Life

As the son of Franz Schuch the Elder Ä. he played in Berlin with Caroline Steinberg, whose second husband he became. In 1764 he took over the rights of his deceased father and took over the general privilege ( granted in 1755 by Friedrich II (Prussia) ) for the Prussian states and the management of the Schuch actor society. He brought her to success and income in a short time. In 1765/66 he was able to build a theater in Behrenstrasse . He shared this house with Karl Theophil Döbbelin , principal of his own troop. On his guest appearances abroad he came to Danzig and Königsberg in 1765 . There had Konrad Ernst Ackermann built a permanent theater and a theater-loving people used. The Schuchs stayed with their troops in Koenigsberg and also played regularly in Gdansk. When Schuch died at the age of 30, Caroline Schuch led the company until her death (1787).
