Franz Seraphim Archer

Franz Seraphim Archer (* 1813 in Maribor ( Styria ), † November 4, 1879 in Vienna ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician .

Archer studied philosophy and law at the University of Graz from 1826 to 1832 and received his doctorate there in 1833. He then worked as a collegiate lawyer and criminal judge as well as district commissioner and civil justice judge of the Rein monastery . After 1850 he was the owner of the Sonnegg estate . From 1850 to 1855 he was a lawyer in Graz and owner of a credit agency . After a long stay in Central America, he worked as a lawyer in Vienna from 1866.

He sat from October 14, 1848 to April 14, 1849 in the Frankfurt National Assembly and belonged to the Westendhall faction . He spoke out against the election of the Prussian king as head of the empire.
