Franz von Stubenberg (born November 22, 1722 , † 1795 ) was an Imperial Austrian military and from 1776 until his death Major General of the Imperial Army .

Franz von Stubenberg comes from the older branch of the Kapfenberg branch of the Stubenbergs and was born on November 22, 1722 as the son of Franz de Paula Stubenberg , who had been appointed imperial general three years earlier, and his wife Maria Theresia von Gera, who was also called Theresia Anna Countess von Gera und Arnfels appears, born. Like his father, Franz Stubenberg embarked on a military career in the imperial army. From 1775 to 1776 he acted as colonel and commander of infantry regiment No. 40 , before he rose to major general in 1776 and held that rank until his death in 1795.
