Franz Thomas Weber (born August 1, 1761 in Augsburg ; † June 2, 1828 there ) was a German engraver and etcher .

His drawings and engravings are, in particular, evidence of Augsburg's city and building history; among other things, he created a 71-part cycle on Augsburg buildings and sites between 1818 and 1820.

Representations of people in these works are mostly just accessories . However, his colored pen drawing for the Augsburg weavers' uprising also documents an event from contemporary events; it shows how the protest of the Augsburg weavers, who had to fear for their existence because of the import of East Indian cotton fabrics, was finally crushed by the troops of the Swabian Empire .
