Franz Traugott Friedrich Wilhelm von Breitenbauch (born January 6, 1739 , † May 5, 1796 in Minden ) was a Prussian chief president.

Life

He came from the Thuringian noble family Breitenbauch and was the son of Friedrich Zdislaus von Breitenbauch, the owner of Brandenstein Castle . After school he studied law at the University of Halle-Wittenberg , then went to Stuttgart, where he can be proven in 1760. He joined the Prussian army, but after the death of his brother he took up an administrative career. In 1768 he became a war and domain councilor in Halberstadt and moved to Hamm as the second chamber director the following year . In 1771 he was appointed head president in Minden. His successor in office in Minden was Heinrich Friedrich Karl vom und zum Stein in 1796 .

He had himself registered as a baron in the church registers in Minden , although there is no evidence of an elevation to the baron class.

He was married in his first marriage to Philippine Albertine Winter von Marbach and his second marriage to a woman born in Gustedt . From his first marriage, the two sons Friedrich Ludwig Werner Clemens Carl Wilhelm von Breitenbauch and Friedrich Ludwig Paul Albert Melchior von Breitenbauch emerged.
