Franz Tschögl

Franz Tschögl (born October 20, 1914 in Müllendorf ; † August 8, 1981 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. From 1960 to 1970 he was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Tschögl was born in Müllendorf in 1915, whereby his father Josef Tschögl was killed in the First World War in 1915. After primary school in Müllendorf, Tschögl attended the agricultural training school in Weigelsdorf and then worked as a farmer. Between 1939 and 1945 he served in the Wehrmacht during World War II . After his return from the war in the summer of 1945, Tschögl took care of the development and expansion of his agriculture and was appointed to the economic council in 1971.

In addition, he was active as a councilor for Müllendorf, where he also served as mayor between 1947 and 1963. In addition, between 1963 and 1970 he was councilor of the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture and a functionary of the Wiener Neustadt dairy cooperative and the Burgenland beet farmers' association. Within the party, Tschögl acted as district chairman of the farmers' union and until 1964 as ÖVP district party chairman. He represented the ÖVP between May 5, 1960 and May 11, 1970 in the Burgenland Landtag.
