Franz W. Wagner

Franz W. Wagner (born May 21, 1944 in Újpetre ) is a German economist .

Life

Franz W. Wagner completed his studies at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 1969 as a Master of Business , where he in 1971 with a theme of business valuation doctorate. 1976 awarded him the University of Regensburg for his habilitation capital preservation, inflation and profit taxation "the Venia legendi for business administration. In the same year he became a university professor at the University of Hohenheim appointed in Stuttgart. In 1986 he took the chair at the University of Tübingen on a chair for business taxation and auditing , where he retired in 2012.

Research and Teaching

Franz W. Wagner's academic interests include business taxation and the conception of tax systems as well as accounting, business valuation and economic analysis of law, including  corporate governance , corporate social responsibility and non-profit companies. He has published over 200 articles in renowned business, economic and legal journals and has acted as their editor. He has also written numerous press articles and from 1990 to 1993 worked on behalf of GTZ as an advisor to the finance ministries  of Hungary, Poland, Latvia and Croatia.

For his scientific achievements he was in 2000 by the Faculty of Management at the University of Munich , the honorary doctorate one and in 2001 the title of Honorary Professor of the Faculty of Economics and computer science of the University of Vienna awarded; in addition, two festschrifts were dedicated to him in 2004 and 2009.
