Franz Waldegg

Franz Waldegg (born September 25, 1888 in Vienna ; † December 28, 1966 there ) was an Austrian landscape and marine painter .

Life

Franz Waldegg grew up in Vienna. He studied from 1903 to 1907 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under J. Hauer. Waldegg became a member of the Segantini Association . He was one of the most important Austrian marine painters of his time and created numerous brown-reddish seascapes of the Dalmatian coast .

Waldegg died in Vienna in 1966.
