Franz Weinberger

Franz Weinberger (born October 21, 1955 in Altheim ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Weinberger is mayor of the Altheim community and was a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament from 1997 to the beginning of 2018 .

education and profession

Weinberger attended primary and secondary school in Altheim and then completed an apprenticeship as an agricultural machinery mechanic in the Innviertel warehouse cooperative in Geinberg . Weinberger was responsible for the spare parts management of the company until 1991 and from 1984 was the chairman of the works council for the company's employees. After that he was only slightly busy. From 1989 Weinberger was councilor of the Linz Chamber of Labor and from 1991 chairman of the Altheim cleanliness association.

Franz Weinberger has been mayor of the Altheim community since October 19, 1991 and has been district party chairman of the ÖVP in the Braunau am Inn district since 2003 .

From October 31, 1997 Weinberger represented the ÖVP in the Upper Austrian state parliament, in the XXVI. During the legislative period, he was a member of the Constitutional and Administrative Committee, the Finance Committee and the Construction Committee. On January 25, 2018, he resigned his state parliament mandate, followed by Gerald Weilbuchner as a member of the state parliament .

Franz Weinberger is married and has three children.
