Chambers of agricultural workers of the federal states
The individual LAKs of the federal states are corporations under public law . The legal bases are the respective state laws. Chambers of agricultural workers exist in all federal states with the exception of Vienna and Burgenland.
In addition to the legal representation of interests, they contribute to the further education of the members.
The plenary assemblies of the individual chambers are elected and have a term of office of six years. The FCG and FSG are parliamentary groups in all regional chambers . In addition, other groups, such as lists of names, are also represented. In contrast to the Chamber of Labor elections that take place in the factories, the elections are held at the municipal offices. In addition to the employed, retired agricultural workers are also entitled to vote in some federal states.
Austrian Chamber of Laborers
Nationwide, the LAKs are united in the Austrian Chamber of Laborers (ÖLAKT) based in Vienna. The organs of this umbrella organization are the general assembly, the board of directors and the presidium. Members are the seven agricultural labor chambers of the federal states.
