Franz Wolfinger (politician)
Franz Wolfinger (born December 19, 1946 in Kematen an der Krems , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).
Life
Franz Wolfinger attended elementary school in the Kematen district of Achleiten from 1953 to 1957 and then until 1961 the secondary school in Bad Hall . Then he attended a year-long agricultural college in Lambach .
However, Wolfinger was barely active in his profession when he found employment with an insurance company in 1967. In 1967 he was promoted to pension specialist.
In 1973 Wolfinger also went into politics when he was elected to the Kematen municipal council. In 1991 he ran for the office of mayor of his home parish; with success. He was then mayor until 2000. In November 1997 he joined the Federal Council in Vienna for the ÖVP . Wolfinger was a member of this until March 2009.
