Franz Xaver of Hohenzollern-Hechingen

Franz Xaver von Hohenzollern-Hechingen (born July 18, 1720 in Bayreuth , † March 14, 1765 in Mouffrin , Province of Namur ) was a Count of Hohenzollern-Hechingen and Imperial Austrian Lieutenant Field Marshal .

Life

Franz Xaver was a son of the Imperial Field Marshal Hermann Friedrich von Hohenzollern-Hechingen (1665-1733) from his marriage to Josepha (1694-1738), daughter of Count Franz Albrecht von Oettingen zu Spielberg . His older brother Josef Friedrich Wilhelm had been Prince of Hohenzollern-Hechingen since 1750.

In Austrian service he became an imperial field marshal lieutenant in the cavalry . Through his wife, he lived mainly in the Netherlands, now Belgium.

Marriage and offspring

Franz Xaver married Anna (1729–1798), daughter of Count Hermann Otto von und zu Hoensbroech , on January 21, 1748 at Geulle Castle near Maastricht . Through his wife he received the county Geulle and the lordships of Mouffrin and Baillonville. From his marriage he had the following children:
