Franz de Paula Tomicich

Franz de Paula Tomicich ( April 4, 1729 , † after 1785) was an Austrian theologian . Franz de Paula is his first name.

Tomicich studied philosophy and theology and received a doctorate in both subjects. He was professor of canon law at the University of Graz and from 1778 to 1783, as the successor to Richard Tecker, director of the Graz University Library . From 1784 to 1785 he was rector of the lyceum, into which the University of Graz was converted in 1782. He was a staunch supporter of Emperor Joseph II's reforms in the church sector.
