Franz von Guérard
Franz von Guérard (born December 22, 1868 in St. Johann (Saar) , † July 26, 1951 in Wiesbaden ) was a German administrative officer.
Life
Franz von Guérard was born as the son of Heinrich von Guérard, who later became President of the Frankfurt / Main Railway Directorate . After high school he studied at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Berlin law . In 1889 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Bonn like his father . After completing his studies, he became a trainee lawyer in 1892. In 1897 he passed the assessor exam and in 1899 went to the Essen Railway Directorate . In 1900 he became a government assessor in Graudenz and in 1902 in Essen , where he was promoted to government councilor in 1904 and a member of the railway management.
In 1914, von Guérard was appointed to the lecturing council in the Ministry of Public Works in Berlin . On July 1, 1919, he was appointed President of the Reich Railway Directorate in Cologne . On March 31, 1933, he retired. After his retirement he lived in Wiesbaden .
